Nutrient Uptake during Growth and Development of Rhododendron lateritium Planch

Abstract

|
|
This study was conducted to determine the changes in nutrient uptake during development of rhododendrons. Nitrogen uptake decreased in short-day treated plants. Magnesium and iron uptake showed the same results. Phosphorous uptake was not changed by daylength treatment. Potassium and calcium uptake increased slightly in shortday treated plants, but there was not a significant difference. It is necessary to confirm the solution composition in nutriculture of rhododendrons.
